"From the Riviera hotel in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, it's YOU GUESSED IT! Today's stars are... Joan Rivers, Jack Nicholson, from TV's Happy Days, Marion Ross, John Travolta, Paul Lynde, Betty White, it's me, Kenny, and Mary Tyler Moore! And now here's is the man who guessed it, Peter Marshall!"

You Guessed It! is a 1980 unsold pilot hosted by Peter Marshall, announced by Kenny Williams (who also served as a panelist), created and produced by Jay Redack for Merrill Heatter-Bob Quigley Productions and it was taped for NBC at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on November 16, 1980. It was described as when Match Game meets You Don't Say! and The Hollywood Squares.

Gameplay

Two contestants, a champion and a challenger and eight celebrities, played the game with rhyming and a fill-in-the-blank format with anyone that could match as possible.

Main Game

The game plays with three rounds. Celebrities point out with a question (for example on the pilot, "_________ is an automotive manufacturer formed on August 28, 1937" and the answer, for example, "Toyota") and the contestant will agree or disagree with the answer. When the contestant agrees/disagrees a celebrity has won.

Round 2 is easier and had a definite question: (for example, "______ was a motor company formed by Henry Ford on June 16, 1903") and the answer, for example, was ("Ford") and the contestants agree or disagree, then the celebrity agrees.

The final round has a rhyming game that goes to play with points which the celebrities had won with just over $25,000.

Bonus Round

In the bonus round, "Guess the Prize", it's like the bonus game of the daytime Hollywood Squares from 1976 to 1980, except the prize is guessing and a new car is guessed.

Trivia

• The main theme is the same theme (aka "Merrill and Bob's Theme") used on Hollywood Squares from 1969 to 1979.
• This is one of the two daytime attempts that Peter Marshall hosted after the cancellation of the daytime Hollywood Squares on June 20, 1980, the other was Line That Climb Up.
• The buzzer sound was the same one used on Wheel of Fortune and the 1978 version of High Rollers, and the 1980 unsold pilot The Arcade Game.
• The taping, Riviera Hotel & Casino also taped the final syndicated season of the original Hollywood Squares from 1980 to 1981.
