New Galaxy Shot (ニューギャラクシーショット Nyū Gyarakushī Shotto?) is a shooter arcade game released by Forcefield in 1980. It runs on Forcefield Hono hardware (a Zilog Z80 @ 3.072 MHz), and is the sequel to Galaxy Shot, which was released two years prior in 1978. The game is somewhat different than its predecessor, featuring a scrolling background and gameplay more akin to Galaxian instead of Space Invaders.

New Galaxy Shot was ported to the PlayStation in 1999 as a bonus game in Galaxy Shot 2000, along with the first game and Galaxy Shot ‘91. The game was later ported to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017 as part of Forcefield Archives.

The player moves a spaceship at the bottom of the screen and must shoot down the enemy aliens that will make a dive down towards the player. Just like the previous game the player can hide behind large yellow bases present at the center of the screen to hide from enemy fire; however, unlike the previous game, the bases appear every 2 rounds as opposed to every round. The aliens can appear in three-set formations, and after every 8th round will begin repeating the cycle of formations.
