Gotham roller coaster death
In 2005, a 12-year old female rider, Elroy Anna, fell out of the coaster and was burned to death by one of the fire effects. The accident was caused by a restraint malfunction. Elroy's family sued the Enchanted Kingdom in 2006 for death. The lawsuit was dropped, and The Elroy Anna Memorial Garden was built one week later, using the sum from the lawsuit to pay for the flowers.
Space Shuttle stall
In 2013, in the middle of Space Shuttle's first year of running, on July 19, 2013, one of the coaster cars did not make it over the last hill on the coaster and stalled. No one was hurt, and once the lap bars were unlatched, the riders in the stalled car were let off. The other two cars on the circuit were stopped safely by the computer's actuation of the ride's air brakes. The ride's air brakes operating make a noise like a gunshot, which caused a small panic. The ride was running normally the next day.
Whistlestop Park derailment
On October 3, 2015, the lead engine on the Whistlestop Park train derailed. The sounds of the train coming off the tracks made a noise like a gunshot, which caused a small panic. 5 people were injured. Whistlestop Park and its trains were running normally the next day.
