El Kadsreian Melody is an El Kadsreian record label owned by the El TV Kadsre Television Network, Yaseen Film & Television Group and Universal Music El Kadsre. It is the largest music company in the El Kadsre.

The current head of EKM is Doris Matsushita of the Matsushita family.

History[]

It was established in Cicmpillici in 1959 by the East El Kadsreian government after El Kadsreian Records was taken by the West El Kadsreian government. Following the formation of the Vlokozu Union, the Vlokozu Union government sold off El Kadsreian Melody to the Matsushita family, only to be sold to state-owned Vlokozuian Media Union in 1979. In 1999, Media El Kadsre sold EKM back to the Matsushita family.

Between 1979 and 2011, El Kadsreian Melody had a home video division called "El Kadsreian Melody Home Video", later shortened as "EKM Video", which produces and releases compliations of music videos of songs that were in the EK Hits/El Kadsreian Top 100's Top 50 Hits. In 1999 following El TV Kadsre's acquisition, EKM Video became a subsidiary of El TV Kadsre Home Entertainment. EKM Video was shut down in 2011 due to declining sales.

El Kadsreian Melody's headquarters following the Matsushita acquisition was moved from the old premises in Cicmpillici (then Vloksville) to a new facility in the RCA Park in Vloksville, followed by the current headquarters at Melody City in Cicmpillici since 1996. The record pressing facility has been located in Makohiro (now in Taranotochi) in a former Agence France-Presse correspondents office for over 40 years.

Back in 2016, Polar Night (now Metropolitan) acquired a 52% stake in the company. In 2017, due to an ongoing restructure, Metropolitan Media Group sold it's 52% stake to the co-owner El TV Kadsre Television Network for USD $17 million.

El Kadsreian Melody founded the music distribution company named Diamond in 2019 and acquired in 2023 by Sony Music

In 2020, El Kadsreian Melody signed a multi-year distribution agreement with West Records for the entire El Kadsre

In 2024, El Kadsreian Melody signed a multi-year distribution agreement with Number One for the entire Mercury Republics

Leaving Neverland controversy[]

In 2019, EKM head Doris Matsushita called Wade Robson a "charlatan" and a "quack" in response to the film Leaving Neverland. Doris accused Wade of having only reversed his position on the Michael Jackson sexual assault scandal "in a blatant attempt to sell more copies of Mr. Jackson's discography", with her pointing to an increase in his music's popularity after the documentary's broadcast. She also threatened to cut all ties to all EKM artists who spoke out in favor of the accusers.
