EYE TV1 is a commmercial TV channel in Taranotochi. It is the most watched television channel in Taranotochi.

EYE TV1 focuses on the wider Taranotochian audience, in contrast to the narrower EYE TV2. It broadcasts programs in most genres, such as news, current affairs, society, documentary, consumer, entertainment, comedy, movies, music, drama, youth programs and children's programs. The news program EYE TV News has main broadcasts during the evening at 6:30pm (UTC-7).

History[]

The channel started broadcasting on February 1, 1961, almost three years after El Kadsre was divided into three nations. It first broadcasted in Mahokiro. During its first years, NEKTV broadcasted only local programs, El Kadsre programs, movies and news for 6 hours.

In 1994, the channel rebranded as EYE, then in 1997, the channel was renamed to EYE TV.

In 2008, when EYE TV2 was launched, it renamed to EYE TV1.

Branding[]

On April 1st, 2017, EYE TV1 relaunched with a new on-air graphics package, including new idents, with Light Surrounding You by New Zealanders band Evermore as the theme music. The same logo, although with an purple colour scheme, was retained. Similar the TVNZ 1 from 2007 to 2010.
